## Cross Shaft Press Overview

The ring-frame construction gives the press exceptional lateral rigidity compared to open-frame designs, making it well suited to off-centre and eccentric loading conditions common in forging and heavy stamping dies. The cross-shaft drive mechanism also allows for higher strokes-per-minute at a given tonnage than a standard single-crank press, which translates into higher throughput on repetitive forming jobs.

Basant's Cross Shaft Press range (models BMW-63, BMW-100 and BMW-160) covers 63 to 160 tons in this series, with a heavier 200-315 ton range available for larger forming operations. Every unit is built with a motorised main drive, adjustable stroke, and a bolster designed for stable, repeatable die mounting.
